Do menstrual cups really work to combat period poverty? The Cova Conference tackles this question and looks inside The Cova Project’s network which distributes menstrual cups alongside educational programs in Liberia, Ghana, Malawi and Uganda. In partnership with Irise Institute East Africa (IIEA), The Cova Conference will deliver an insightful and meaningful night.

The event kicks off at 5pm AEST and will feature discussions with IIEA regional director Lillian Bagala, Flowcup founder Diana Lidforsen, IIEA partnerships and policy advocacy officer Patricia Humura and The Cova Project founder G.D Anderson. There will also be the chance to hear first-hand accounts from The Cova Project’s menstrual cup beneficiaries.

To date, our project with IIEA has reached 2000 girls with menstrual cups and menstrual health education to strengthen period management. We have also undertaken stakeholder engagement to open discussions to improve support and provision for girls in the community.
