Kin x The Cova Project #IWD2023

The Cova Project and Kin Fertility are offering you the chance to help transform a girl’s life this March for International Women’s Day!

For any Kin purchase made, $7 will be donated to The Cova Project in an effort to reduce period poverty in Liberia, Uganda and Malawi. It’s something special for you, and an empowered future for her.

Kin Fertility strives to empower women by offering a wide range of accessible healthcare products that see a woman through contraception, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum. The Cova Project combats period poverty by making menstrual cups accessible to women in low income communities. Both Kin and The Cova Project are on a mission to transform the landscape of menstrual health and safety.

Many girls miss 50 days of school, or around 28% of their yearly education because they are unable to access menstrual care. Being unable to fulfil their schooling or work commitments means they have to explore other options to provide for the families which in severe cases, can lead to child marriage and teenage pregnancy.

Kin and The Cova Project will be extending their existing partnership this International Women’s Day in an effort to reduce the rate at which this occurs with the aim of providing as many menstrual cups as possible to women in Liberia, Uganda and Malawi.

Founder of The Cova Project, Geena Dunne, said,

"We are so grateful for our partnership with Kin. Nicole and I both believe in empowerment through access and we know that one cup can allow a girl to participate in school and life full time. Plus they last for up to 10 years so it's not just a solution for today but for tomorrow. Girls deserve equal opportunity and menstrual health solutions change lives."

When you purchase any product in the Kin range* between March 8-31, Kin will donate $7 per individual order to The Cova Project, covering the cost of one menstrual cup. With each cup lasting up to ten years, you’ll be buying something that will support your own health, while giving access, education and dignity back to girls and women in need. It could even rescue a woman from having to engage in transactional sex in exchange for period products.

Kin’s range of products has been designed to support women through every stage of their menstrual journey. Whether it’s a pill subscription, a prenatal vitamin or postnatal recovery, Kin will support your journey through womanhood so that you can feel empowered, healthy and looked after.

Kin’s goal is to raise $50,000 for The Cova Project so that they can continue to change the landscape of period poverty across Africa. If that amount is raised, at $7 per menstrual cup, roughly 7,200 cups will be given to the girls and women who need it most.

Kin Fertility’s founder, Nicole, said,

“A menstrual cup may seem small, but it gives a woman an education and a future”.

The more cups that are distributed, the closer that Kin and The Cova Project become to achieving their mission of an empowered future for all girls and women. This is your opportunity to make a difference and empower women from all walks of life. Help us to redefine menstrual health on our own terms, period.

*Kin pledges to donate $7 for each individual order placed from March 8 - March 31, 2023. Offer does not apply to prescription orders or repeat contraception memberships.
